The Importance of Giving Back

Our community has been supporting us for over 55 years and we know how special that is. That’s why Meloche Windows & Doors is dedicated to giving back to the people of our community and supporting local growth and success.

In 2011, Meloche Windows & Doors was humbled to sponsor a room as part of the Transition to Betterness’ “From Rooms to Wings” campaign. This campaign aimed to refurbish the T2B Supportive Care Unit on the 3rd floor of the Dr. Y. Emara Centre for Healthy Aging and Mobility. This overhaul focused on furthering the unit’s comfort for patients and families, resembling a “home” instead of a hospital.

The beginning of 2014 provided Meloche Windows & Doors with a new year and new opportunities to help. Meloche Windows & Doors made a donation to the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County that provided comfort to 1, 700 patients and we sponsored the Hospice’s LifeWalk, a 5km fundraising walk supporting the Hospice’s efforts. A donation of windows, doors and time was also given to Habitat for Humanity for their new home build on Armanda in LaSalle for a family in need. Meloche Windows & Doors knows the importance of giving back and will continue to do so. Thank you, Windsor, for allowing Meloche Windows & Doors the opportunity to do something for you.

Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex helps low-income families build and buy simple, decent quality affordable homes, helping them build assets and break the cycle of poverty. This solution provides available housing for families in need and enables low-income families to reduce their dependence on other forms of social assistance. Meloche Windows & Doors is proud to be sponsoring all windows for Habitat for Humanity’s 2014 build project in LaSalle, ON.
